Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian entertainment company. It is the largest theatrical producer in the world. Cirque Du Soleil was due to visit Dubai for the very first time when brains at work was approached to find solutions for it’s highly sensitive accommodation and logistical requirements within Dubai. The needs were very specific and centered around the physical, mental and emotional comfort of the artists and performers.
Cirque du Soleil very clearly had tricky specifications that included:
- Accomodation for 125 artists for a period of 4 months in a single hotel/apartment venue.
- Specific needs of each of the intensely delicate artists was to be looked after.
- Personalized logistical requirements of each of the individual 125 artists was to be managed and organized.
Our client’s pre-requisite for the management of the accommodation and logistical requirements of the Cirque Du Soleil group involved the highest amount of attention being paid to every single personal need of the 125 precision artists being met.
More than 80% of the individual precision artists had unique, individual and sometimes conflicting concerns that required fulfillment. From rooms on high floors, with balconies and sunrise facing views to rooms on high floors, with balconies and sunset facing views. There were additional specifications on the level of external sounds being heard within the room and other much finer details.
The needs of each of the 125 artists also included the set up of a school environment for artists with children. Further the hotel was supposed to be able to handle the parking of 125 bi-cycles for each of the artists.
Logistical requirements included management of last minute visa changes with the Dubai Summer Festival Office by our team. Additionally, exacting standards and precise synchronization of transportation timings was organized with the Cirque Du Soleil show timings to reduce any unrequired waiting or delays for each of the 125 artists
After a series of meetings, the brains at work team got down to action with hunting for the perfect hotel apartment, which matched every single need thrown at us by our client. Our team walked around venues and checked out every single room, while personally ensuring, that individual requests of each of the emotionally sensitive artists was factored.
Our team was available around the clock; right from the welcome and arrival of the group at the airport to their accommodation, and the management of every single logistical challenge that came up, right up to their departure. Personalized kid-glove handling of all the artists was undertaken by the brains at work team.
Transportation details were personally managed by the team with numerous checks being put in place to ensure that we were on time every time.
Cirque du Soliel was visibly impressed with the excellence of service extended to them. brains at work very successfully understood all the complicated needs of the Cirque du Soleil staff and crew.
